Play the World: Daily Travel Challenge

A new travel riddle every day. Guess the destination and collect stamps.

How Play the World works

Each day there is one travel riddle, the same for every visitor. Read the clue, choose from four destinations and, if you guess right, earn a stamp for that place in My Passport.

Stamps and your streak are saved in your own browser, so there is nothing to sign up for. Clearing your browser data resets them. Every answer links to the destination so you can learn more about the place behind the clue.

How the daily challenge works

The riddle changes once a day and is the same for everyone, so you can compare answers with friends. Clues draw on geography, landmarks, food, festivals and landscape. One guess counts per day; after you answer, the destination link explains the place behind the clue.

My Passport keeps the stamps you have earned and your current streak in this browser only. Using a different device or private browsing starts a fresh passport.

Learning from each answer

Every answer is a route into planning: open the destination, check when to go and which areas suit your style, then save it to your list. Over a few weeks the stamps become a personal shortlist of places you already know something about.

Step by step

  1. Read today's clue carefully; it points to the landscape, culture or history of one destination.
  2. Pick one of the four options. You get one guess per day.
  3. Read about the answer, then come back tomorrow to keep your streak going.
