Our Cosmopolitan Las Vegas review: a difficult start, exceptional care from Austin Keiser, incredible Sahra Spa staff, and why we plan to return.

By Nicholas Peters · Published 2026-11-01 · Check-in 2026-10-31 · Updated review
Our stay at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, October 31 through November 4, 2026, began with problems that left us seriously disappointed. Our initial review reflected that experience honestly.
But that was only the beginning of the story.
Austin Keiser, Resort Operations Manager, stepped up and made things right. His response changed our impression of the hotel and deserves to be reflected just as clearly as our original concerns.
We also experienced incredible hospitality during our November 3 visit to Sahra Spa, Salon & Hammam, and spent time exploring the resort’s restaurants throughout our stay.
Our updated verdict is positive, with an important qualification: the beginning fell below expectations, but the hotel demonstrated the care and capability that gave us a reason to return.
We plan to come back next year, hoping to experience that standard from arrival through departure.
A difficult start, a meaningful recovery. Austin Keiser made things right, the Sahra Spa staff was incredible, and we plan to return next year — hoping for that standard from arrival through departure.

A firsthand review should reflect the whole experience, including how a stay is resolved.
Our original article described a difficult start, and we want readers to know the rest of the story.
Management's response changed our assessment. Our concerns were taken seriously, and what followed changed our decision about staying here again.
This revised review keeps the honest context of how our stay began while giving credit to the people who made things right.

When we checked in, we encountered several room problems, including water-temperature and drainage issues, an unpleasant bathroom odor, a nonworking room phone, visible bathroom wear, and repeated overnight banging from the pipes.
We also experienced an unexpected housekeeping entry at approximately 11 p.m. while we were sleeping.
Those issues disrupted our comfort and rest. They were the basis for our strongly negative first impressions, and we do not want to suggest that they were insignificant.
The beginning of our stay needed attention. What changed our opinion was the hotel’s response.

Austin Keiser, Resort Operations Manager at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, deserves particular recognition.
When guests encounter problems, the response can determine whether they leave feeling dismissed or leave willing to give the property another opportunity.
Austin’s handling of our experience gave us that willingness.
He stepped up, showed that our concerns mattered, and made things right. We appreciated his care and the difference it made to our overall impression of the resort.
Hotels can experience maintenance problems and service mistakes. Guests understandably expect those issues to be prevented, particularly at a luxury property. When they do occur, however, someone needs to take responsibility for helping the guest.
Austin did that for us.
His response is the main reason this article has a different conclusion from our original report. We went from questioning a return to planning one.
A great hotel shows its character in how it cares for guests when something goes wrong. Austin Keiser gave us a reason to believe in The Cosmopolitan again.
On November 3, we spent a spa day at Sahra Spa, Salon & Hammam at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The resort’s spa is part of its on-property wellness offering. The Cosmopolitan

The staff was incredible.
Their hospitality deserves its own recognition in this review. Alongside Austin’s response, our experience with the spa team showed us the positive difference that caring employees can make during a stay.
A spa day offers a welcome pause during a busy Las Vegas trip. For us, the people at Sahra were a standout part of that experience.
We would happily include another visit in our plans when we return.

Dining was a regular part of our time at the resort. Across breakfast, lunch, and dinner, we visited several of The Cosmopolitan’s restaurants and returned to some more than once.
Having different dining options within the hotel was convenient between our other Las Vegas plans. Our visits gave us an opportunity to experience the property beyond the room.

The Henry was our breakfast stop in the mornings. The restaurant describes its concept as a modern American eatery with an approach centered on comfort food. The Cosmopolitan
For our stay, its role was straightforward: it was where we began our mornings before heading into the day’s plans. When you spend several nights at a resort, those everyday routines become part of your experience of the property. Breakfast at The Henry was part of ours.
We visited China Poblano for lunch on October 31, the day we checked in. José Andrés’ restaurant brings Chinese and Mexican cuisines together within one concept, offering a distinctive option among the resort’s restaurants. The Cosmopolitan

It was one of our first dining stops during this visit and part of the range of restaurants we explored while staying at The Cosmopolitan.
That evening, we ate at Naughty Patty’s. Located at Block 16 Urban Food Hall, Naughty Patty’s offers a casual burger-focused option within the resort. The Cosmopolitan

Having a casual dinner option on the property added flexibility to our arrival day. A Las Vegas itinerary does not always call for a lengthy restaurant reservation, and the ability to choose a simpler meal is useful during a multiday stay.
We returned to Block 16 Urban Food Hall for lunch on November 1 and November 3.
Block 16 brings several food and drink concepts together within The Cosmopolitan, making it an alternative to a traditional sit-down restaurant. The Cosmopolitan

It became a practical part of our stay. We could include lunch at the resort while keeping room in the day for other activities. For travelers comparing hotels, that everyday convenience is worth considering alongside the more prominent restaurants and attractions.
On November 2, we had lunch at Amaya Modern Mexican. The restaurant’s concept takes inspiration from coastal Mexico, adding another dining style to the resort’s collection. The Cosmopolitan
Our visit to Amaya rounded out a stay that included several different dining settings, from morning breakfasts to food hall lunches and a casual arrival-night dinner.
Our strongest positive memories from this stay center on people.
Austin’s response mattered. The Sahra Spa staff mattered. Their care changed how we felt about the property.

The Cosmopolitan presents itself as a luxury resort in the heart of the Strip, with residential-style accommodations and terrace room options. Those features help explain its appeal, but hospitality ultimately depends on how guests are treated during their own visit. The Cosmopolitan
We experienced both a disappointing beginning and a meaningful recovery.
That gives us a more complete perspective than our original article could offer. We now know that the hotel has people capable of delivering the care we hoped for—and willing to act when the experience falls short.

Yes. We plan to return next year.
That is a significant change from our initial assessment, and Austin deserves credit for helping bring it about.
We will return with the expectation that the next stay can deliver a great experience from the start. The care we received has shown us that the capability is there.
We would love our next review to describe a smooth arrival, a comfortable stay, and excellent hospitality throughout. This visit gave us a reason to look forward to that possibility.

Our stay at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas began with genuine problems. Austin Keiser stepped up and made things right, changing our overall impression and giving us the confidence to return.
Our November 3 spa day brought another highlight: an incredible staff at Sahra Spa, Salon & Hammam. Dining throughout the resort also became a regular part of our visit, with stops at The Henry, China Poblano, Naughty Patty’s, Block 16, and Amaya Modern Mexican.
We appreciate a hotel team that cares enough to turn a disappointing experience around.
Thank you, Austin, and thank you to the Sahra team. We’ll be back next year—and look forward to a great experience from start to finish.
