About Megève
Megève was created as a luxury ski destination by the Rothschild family in the 1920s — a car-free village of horse-drawn carriages, palace hotels, and Michelin-starred restaurants nestled beneath Mont Blanc. More intimate than Courchevel, Megève is old-money Alpine glamour.
Best time to visit: December through April for ski season; July–August for summer
