The best luxury family resorts for 2026, ranked on room configuration, kids' club substance, dining and transfers — with nightly rates and honest caveats.
Frequently asked questions
What are the best luxury family resorts?
Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru in the Maldives, the Resort at Pelican Hill and Montage Laguna Beach in California, Four Seasons Vail in Colorado, Rosewood Baha Mar in the Bahamas and Soneva Fushi lead the field, judged on room configuration, children's programming and dining that works at 6pm.
What makes a resort genuinely family friendly at the luxury tier?
Accommodation with separate sleeping zones — connecting rooms or multi-bedroom villas rather than a suite with a sofa bed; a children's programme with published age bands and a real staff-to-child ratio; and early dining that is not room service.
How much do luxury family resorts cost per night?
Editorial rates for the properties covered run roughly $800 to $1,900 per night for entry categories, with family villas and multi-bedroom residences commonly two to three times that in school holidays.
